Cycling is much more than simple physical exercise. It means freedom, independence, contact with nature and mental well-being. Yet for many people with mobility impairments, this experience is often out of reach.
Our project was created to change all that.
We have designed an innovative system that turns any bicycle into a stable and safe tricycle, replacing the traditional front fork with a rigid double-fork module. The two widely spaced front wheels allow the bike to stay balanced on its own, so the rider no longer needs to keep their balance.
At the heart of the system is an integrated shock-absorbing mechanism that absorbs uneven ground even though the forks are rigid. This ensures comfort, safety and a smooth ride, even for people with walking difficulties.
Why are we doing this?
Because we believe that sport should be inclusive. That every person, whatever their physical abilities, should be able to experience the joy of a bike ride. Our design is intended to be modular, adaptable and good-looking, because accessibility should never have to give up on style.
A bike for everyone is not just a technical project: it is a vision. It is a step towards a world where independence is a right, not a privilege. This project comes from the heart of our association and from Gabriele, whose passion for sport and inclusion inspires us every day.
It is also part of his degree thesis, a piece of work that brings together research, design and social commitment. Every interview collected, every contribution and every share is one more step towards a future where the bicycle is truly for everyone.
