Our commitment to the environment translates into concrete, integrated actions- Organic and responsible farming: We adopt rigorous organic farming methods that strictly exclude the use of chemical pesticides and fertilisers. We use only home-made organic compost and natural plant-based remedies to ensure the healthy growth of our medicinal plants. This approach not only preserves soil health but also guarantees top-quality end products, free of chemical residues.
- Targeted irrigation and water management: We use drip irrigation systems and moisture sensors to deliver exactly the water needed, precisely where it is needed. This allows us to optimise the use of water resources, minimising waste and contributing to the sustainable and responsible management of water, an increasingly precious resource, in line with the FAO guidelines on sustainable irrigation.
- Crop rotation and intercropping: Our farming techniques include crop rotation and intercropping, age-old practices that naturally preserve soil fertility. This method prevents the onset of disease, reduces dependence on external inputs and encourages a natural ecological balance, essential to the vitality of our ecosystem.
- Protecting biodiversity: Alongside our crops, we set aside “refuge” areas for beneficial insects, birds and microorganisms, which are essential for maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
