Located at the heart of the future IBOLYA residence, the hospice will offer welcoming spaces, personalised care pathways and state-of-the-art technology. Our multidisciplinary team will work closely together to ensure continuity of care and to accompany patients and caregivers at every stage, with sensitivity and expertise.

The vision guiding the IBOLYA Hospice is simple and profound: caring for the whole person. This means combining pain and symptom management with constant psychological and spiritual support, so that every patient feels safe, listened to and respected.

    Palliative and hospice care services

    Personalised care

Tailored care plans drawn up by palliative care doctors, specialist nurses, psychologists and social workers, with clear goals and continuous monitoring.

    Support for families

Counselling, self-help groups and bereavement support: care also embraces caregivers and families, with dedicated pathways and respite.

    A comprehensive approach

Pain and symptom management, psychological and spiritual support, and integration with local services in line with international best practice.

To understand how the hospice fits into the overall vision of the project, see also the Gyerünk Philanthropic Fund.

Architecture and spaces of the hospice

The IBOLYA Hospice is designed according to the principles of compassionate architecture: environments that reduce stress, encourage relationships and protect privacy. Single rooms with advanced technology (medical gases, chromotherapy), direct access to the therapeutic gardens and communal areas for rehabilitation activities and socialising make the care experience more humane and serene.

Every space is designed to restore autonomy where possible and offer comfort where needed, so that the care pathway is truly tailored to the person and their family.

The IBOLYA Hospice will be not only a place of care, but also a centre for training and awareness-raising. We will organise workshops, public meetings and courses for healthcare workers and volunteers, with the aim of spreading a culture of palliative care and improving access to quality services throughout the region.

    Philosophy and holistic approach

    Holistic well-being

Caring for the whole person – body, mind and spirit – with interventions tailored to the patient’s real needs.

    The family at the centre

Dedicated spaces for caregivers and active involvement of the family in decisions and in the care pathway.

    Dignity and autonomy

Respect for the person’s preferences, clear communication and support in care choices, to preserve autonomy and identity.

    Community and network

Partnerships with local services, training for care workers and volunteers, and initiatives to raise awareness of palliative care.

Thanks to the synergy with the Gyerünk Philanthropic Fund, the IBOLYA Hospice will be able to count on stable resources to ensure continuity of services and develop new projects. This financial support will make it possible to expand the range of care, introduce innovative therapies and provide ongoing staff training, so as to maintain high quality standards and respond promptly to the emerging needs of the community.

The long-term goal is to make the IBOLYA Hospice a reference model not only for Romania, but also for other European organisations wishing to combine end-of-life care, family support and social inclusion in a single facility. Sharing experiences, working with international bodies and taking part in palliative care research networks will strengthen our commitment and our positive impact on the local area.
