When we founded Asociația Haide Gabriele! in 2024, we knew what we wanted to build: a residence where care puts the person first, a social farm where work restores dignity, a centre where people can learn a trade. We also knew that one question would stay with us for a long time: how do you keep all this going over time?
Donations are precious, and they will remain so. But a care service cannot depend on how much can be raised each year. That is why in 2026 we took a decisive step: alongside the association, the Haide Gabriele Group was born.
Why a holding company
Romanian law does not allow an association to be the 100% sole shareholder of several limited liability companies. So we designed a three-level structure:
- Asociația Haide Gabriele! safeguards the social mission, sets the ethical standards and is the sole shareholder of the holding company.
- Haide Gabriele Holding SRL holds the group’s stakes in the operating companies and collects the related profits.
- The operating companies, in which the holding has a stake, work on the market, each in its own field.
This way, business risk stays separate from the association’s assets, and every new initiative can be added without changing its structure.
The first two companies
Spring Research & Strategy works in research, development and strategic consulting. It develops the Soresi Platform and Vetta, a solution designed for veterinarians. Its website is springrs.com.
Spazio Dor is an independent product design and communication studio (spaziodor.com). Its first project is especially close to our hearts: GabryTrike, the kit that turns a bicycle into a stable tricycle. Presented at the New European Bauhaus 2026 and featured on gabrytrike.com, it was born from Gabriele’s experience and his limited mobility, the story we told in A bike for everyone.
Both companies are up and running and work without asking for funding.
The double helix
We call this model the double helix, like the structure of DNA: two distinct strands, social mission and economic sustainability, intertwined and connected. The mechanism that binds them is cross-subsidy:
- the operating companies produce goods and services for the market;
- the share of profits due to the holding company is distributed to it;
- the holding company transfers them to the association, which uses them for the mission, for example to cover the running costs of the future IBOLYA Residence.

What changes for our supporters
For donors, nothing changes in substance: donations go to the association and serve the social mission, while the companies fund themselves through their work on the market. What changes is the strength of the project, which over time will be able to rely on its own income and not only on the generosity of those who follow us.

Next steps
The path is set out in the Gyerünk Project roadmap. After the foundation and the launch of the first businesses, the next steps are the R.Ă.D.Ă.C.I.N.I. training centre, the S.Ă.L.V.I.E. social farm and the construction of the IBOLYA Residence. Each of these pillars may, in time, become a company of the group.
